Quartet

The traditional string quartet is a touchstone for the most elegant of events. The European Ensemble provides beautiful classical music for your wedding ceremony. Also consider hiring the Ensemble for your cocktail hour/reception to provide the special touch that only live music can bring. We offer an exceptional hourly rate for the second, third, and fourth hours of our performances. Clients who have hired us for both their ceremony and reception always remark that it was the best decision they could have made for their guests' entertainment.

Our music repertoire includes upbeat and well-known popular tunes from all over the world, jazz standards, and famous musicals—enjoyable for all ages. In case you do not find your favorite song in our extensive repertoire/song list, we can create a wonderful string arrangement from piano sheet music or a sound file.

Trio

The European Ensemble can be tailored to match any request and fit any budget. A professional trio can sound almost as rich as a quartet, but more economical. However, for receptions and cocktail hours, we do recommend the full quartet format to fill the busier environment.

 

We offer performances with vocalists, flute, trumpet, and harp.

We are pleased to welcome in our string quartet excellent musicians such as Ruth Ritchie—flute—and Jacquelyn Lengfelder—soprano. They do a magnificent job, and are a pleasure to work with. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further details.

 

Solo Instrument and Private Instruction

Each member of the European Ensemble can be engaged for solo appearances and private instruction. All members of the quartet are university trained, and offer private violin, viola, piano, and cello lessons for students of all ages, from Dallas to McKinney. Our excellent interpersonal skills and proven teaching methods make it easy to overcome the challenge of learning a new instrument. Engaged regularly by churches and other religious organizations, especially during holiday seasons, the quartet has also performed in such prestigious venues as the Meyerson Symphony Center. After Hurricane Ike destroyed my plans for my wedding proposal in Houston, I had to move it to Dallas. European Ensemble agreed to do it at the last minute, they showed up early, did a fantastic job, and they were very kind. The European Ensemble provided me with two very talented violinists to help serenade my lady as I proposed to her in the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. They were very affordable and very capable musicians. Not only did they perform well during the event, but the assistance Edina gave me during the planning stages was invaluable. Days before the proposal, Edina went to the Botanic Gardens and helped pick out the perfect spot. This was very helpful as I travel and I was unable to do this myself.
